This large cabinet specimen is unusually sparkly and has such wonderful contrast: it features three clusters of sharp, perfect, mint-green fluorapophyllite crystals against a mix of both cream and white-colored stilbite. The green sprays of fluorapophyllite are richer in color than most, with clusters measuring between 3.5 and 4.5cm across. The luster is incredible - top percentile, and more so in person! Pale stilbite crystals, in the desirable "bowtie shape," reach 6.0 cm. Found in abundance in the extensive basalt quarries of the Deccan traps in India, one of the largest Volcanic features on Earth, the sheer volume of production has kept prices relatively affordable on this fantastic material. While common in general, this is a particularly fine specimen and was in a former dealer's inventory at $3000.
