Item Description

A striking, large, 11.2 cm, sharply terminated, mint-green fluorapatite crystal is dramatically set on pastel-pink calcite matrix on this impresssive and excellent specimen from this obscure Quebec locale. The lustrous crystal is moderately translucent and has nifty layering. The trivial bit of bruising at the termination and the contacting near the base have very little impact to the overall outstanding quality of this large specimen. The piece displays superbly without aid. Mineral specimens of any variety are rare from this locale and this is outstanding example. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection. Value??
