Fluorapatite, Wolframite & Quartz (excellent)

Item Description

An aesthetic, sculptural and classic large combination from this famous locale. A 2.7 cm, gem, color-zoned green to colorless tabular fluorapatite crystal and a limpid, sharply terminated quartz crystal with etched and frosted faces are dramatically perched atop a large elongated matrix of lustrous, metallic, tabular wolframite crystals and more quartz points. Parts of the piece have crusts of lustrous, translucent, olive-green siderite microcrystals and there's even a vein of purple fluorite on the back of the piece. The bottom of the piece even has a nice surprise, revealing nifty intergrown, frosted, terminated quartz crystals. The quartz crystal has only a hard-to-see micro bruise to the termination. The front of the apatite is pristine, with the out-of-sight contacting on back having no damage, per se. Fine yellow apatite fluorescence. A classic and very artistic large combination from Panasqueira. Rare in this quality and style. From an East Coast collection. The Larry Conklin label has a $2500 price on the back.
