Item Description

A classic association specimen from Panasqueira featuring soft silvery-blue colored, lustrous, tabular crystals of Fluorapatite measring up to 1.3 cm across with tan-brown colored rhombic Siderite, sitting on jet-black striated prismatic crystals of Ferberite. There are Apatites on both the front and back of the piece, and it sits beautifully on its own without the aid of a base or clay. Very good quality all around, I can't see any major damage with the naked eye. These specimens are true European classics and notably distinctive and beautiful. From the collection of Vasco Trancoso, a medical doctor and prominent mineral collector from near Lisbon, Portugal (https://www.mindat.org/user-11954.html).
