Item Description
A 3.7 cm, lustrous, prismatic, translucent, silvery purple color doubly-termianted crystal of Fluorapatite aesthetically sits along the side of a VERY gemmy, bright, colorless, doubly-termianted, highly lustrous Quartz crystal. Purple is by far the most desirable of all colors of Apatite, and is for all intents and purposes, the most difficult to obtain. This piece is about as aesthetic as it gets for the material, and rarely does one find crystals of Apatite this size especially associated with such a FINE quality Quartz crystal. I have to call this piece a "floater", as I can't find a point of attachment, and it can be displayed from several angles. Great shape overall, and very showy. This piece comes from the PERSONAL COLLECTION (not inventory) of Herb Obodda (specimen #1206), and is a very worthwhile display specimen of this beloved material. Valued at $2000. BETTER IN PERSON! HARD TO PHOTOGRAPH!
