Item Description

This very obscure Pakistan Alpine-type locality has recently produced some exceptional apatite specimens and this is an outstanding small cabinet example. Dramatic dark green actinolite needles, to a stunning 5.9 cm (the fat end protrudes out of the crystal), and green chlorite are richly included in the striking, gemmy, lustrous, very stout, tabular, hexagonal, two-sided crystal. Partially doubly terminated and nearly a floater. The spearpoint termination is all there and the basal termination has just a bit of bruising. One broad edge is contacted, but there is little, if any damage. Similar to classic Austrian Alpine apatites, they may be better due to the large size and crystal thickness. These unique style stout combination apatites came out in 2012. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock.
