Item Description
Fluorapatite, tourmaline and quartz combinations are RARE from the famed Himalaya Mine. Three intergrown, translucent, hexagonal, rose-red apatite crystals with frosted faces, a nifty spray of gemmy, bi-colored green and colorless tourmaline crystals, a 2.3 cm colorless quartz crystal and a section of a much larger tourmaline are attractively set on the euhedral, translucent, gray quartz crystal shard with both sharp and contacted, with no damage, faces. The apatites and quartz point are in great shape, with some of damaged tourmalines certainly only being a modest detraction. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. Bob purchased the piece from John Seibel, who had collected the piece at the mine in June, 1987. An important, rare and excellent combination piece. Yellow apatite fluorescence. A MUST for the California pegmatite collector.
