Item Description
Gemmy and lustrous, textbook, hexagonal, flesh-colored, tabular fluorapatite crystals are nicely scattered on the front of this very showy and excellent, large, two-sided curved, combination crust from the Shigar Valley and the Herb Obodda dealer stock. The large apatite on the front is 1.0 cm and the few, water-clear, hard-to-see, quartz crystals rest on the crust of snow-white albite crystals. Chemistry certainly changes on the back! Many more apatites, to 1.6 cm, plus three, lustrous, tabular, tantalite-(Mn) crystals to 1.2 cm have a preferential overgrowth of drusy albite. This is an exotic, excellent and very showy combination rarity from this noted locale. The bright yellow fluorescence of the apatites really livens this piece up! Valued at $750
