Item Description
Fluorapatite specimens are EXTREMELY rare from this famous locality, famed as the Type Locality for lazurite (lapis lazuli) and afghanite. A 2.5 cm, translucent, doubly terminated, olive-green, crystal with waxy luster is very jauntily perched on blocky marble matrix. The base and one side have been sawed to enhance the outstanding display quality from several orientations. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by him at $400, five or more years ago.
