Item Description
A rarely seen specimen of the beautiful pink Apatites that came out of Kazakhstan 20+ years ago. There were only a handful of them on the market at the time, and they disappeared almost immediately. If you collect worldwide Apatites or thumbnails, this is a very rare opportunity to pick up one of these beautiful and elusive specimens from the Akzhaylyautas Mountains. This piece is a very sharp, well-formed, thick, tabular, hexagonal crystal of translucent rich pink colored Fluorapatite with minor attached Albite. There are some thin pyramidal modifications that can be seen between the pinacoid and the prism. Good quality, save the base where it was removed from the matrix. The prior dealer label had this piece priced at $895.00.
