Item Description

An attractive and rarely seen specimen of Fluorapatite from the Epprechtstein in Bavaria, Germany. This mountain lies in the Fichtel Mountains and has produced some attractive Fluorapatites over the years, though fairly sporadically. This piece is a really nice example featuring a highly lustrous thick tabular group of crystal that range in color from lilac, to a golden-sherry color with slight greenish hues as well, attached to a bit of pale cream colored Microcline and minor greenish-yellow Mica. The Apatite group is somewhat gemmy when backlit, and it's in good condition, with no major damage, only minor imperfections. If you collect phosphates, Apatites or minerals of Bavaria, this is cool and colorful locality piece that you rarely seen available on the market.
