A wonderful combination from this renowned locale and the Kay Robertson Collection # 9313. An aesthetic opposing pair of glassy rabbit ears quartz crystals dramatically frames the striking stacked cluster of classic green, lustrous and translucent, hexagonal fluorapatite crystals. The muscovite rosettes add color, form and pizzazz. The right 6.7 cm quartz crystal is actually doubly terminated and pristine. The fantastic frontal display view is very nearly pristine, with only the tip of the left quartz crystal being gently bruised. Greenish-yellow apatite fluorescence. An outstanding and most sculptural combination small cabinet. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
