Item Description
Pulsifer Quarry fluorapatites are certainly one of the most desirable and hardest to obtain U.S. mineral species in fine specimens. A 7 x 6 mm, sharp, gem, hexagonal crystal has gorgeous orchid-purple color is aesthetically set on the side of a sharp, complete all-around and nearly pristine, pearlescent quartz crystal. The quartz has an unusual looking etched termination and is partially cloaked in lepidolite. A dinged spot is noted on the quartz termination, but is certainly only a modest detraction and the apatite has been reattached to the quartz crystal in a good repair. This piece was collected by Terry Szenics in 1967. Classic and rare matrix combination material with this gem crystal. ANY gem Pulsifer crystal is a treasure, and they are seldom seen. Amber fluorescence on the fluorapatite. Valued $500-750.
