Item Description
A dramatic and impressive miniature combination from Afghanistan. Lustrous, translucent, pretty lilac-colored apatite crystals with frosted faces are richly and aesthetically clustered on two sides of translucent quartz crystal with frosted faces. The apatites are pristine and the quartz is in really good shape with only a bruise to the termination and the attachment at the base. Yellow fluorescence. A colorful, excellent and unusual combination from the Kay Robertson Collection # 6947 and acquired from Kristalle in June, 1973. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). OLD, RARE, early material from Afghanistan!!
