Fluorapatite on Quartz (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

A showy small miniature display specimen featuring Fluorapatite on Quartz from (according to the label) Wuzhou, Guangxi, China. The Apatite measures 1.8 cm at its longest dimension and is mostly a soft lilac / purple color, but if you backlight it, you can see there's a green color at the center! The piece is in good shape overall with no major damage, and displays nicely as you can see from the photos. If you collect Apatite or minerals from China, don't miss out on this one, as the rare locality makes it an interesting novelty specimen. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#13129).
