Fluorapatite on Cleavelandite

Two generations of pretty, scintillating, gemmy fluorapatite crystals are richly peppered on the sculptural contrasting small cabinet matrix of the glassy and lustrous, parallel-growth cleavelandite plates. The rich steel-blue larger crystals reach 3 mm with the smaller crystals being sky-blue. Ghostly white SW UV apatite fluorescence and pink SW UV cleavelandite fluorescence. See the 2019 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 50, No. 5. Classic and very showy combination material from the famous locale. Valued at $900-1000. Some people say these are colored by copper, or refer to them as cuprian apatites, but that is conflating Paraiba colored apatite and paraiba colored tourmaline. They do, however, have wonderful and unusual color!
