Item Description

A classic specimen of the well-known Slyudyanka Apatites. This miniature sized specimen features a 2.5 cm long narrow hexagonal prims of Fluorapatite with sharp, lustrous faces and a mix of blue and golden-brown hues. One termination is visible on the bottom of the Apatite crystal, but the top of the crystal is contacted. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10864) accompanied by an old Russian label. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
