Item Description

Here we have a cute miniature specimen featuring a sharp, thick, tabular crystal of pale golden-pink colored Fluorapatite measuring 6 mm across sitting on a matrix of bladed white Albite (var: Cleavelandite). The opposite end of the specimen features a partial (possibly etched?) prismatic crystal of Watermelon Tourmaline with a green outer "rind" and gemmy pink interior. A cool association specimen of classic Brazilian pegmatite material. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6633). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
