Item Description

A classic specimen from the Fillow Quarry in Connecticut featuring several, soft blue colored, hexagonal prismatic Fluorapatite crystals measuring up to 1.0 cm long associated with minor bladed Muscovite sitting on a matrix of off-white colored Albite matrix. Great quality, no real damage of note and a MUST HAVE for any fan of pegmatite minerals or specimens from Connecticut. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5263). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
