Item Description

A beautiful miniature specimen featuring a pair of beautiful, sapphire-blue, very sharp, highly lustrous, translucent Apatite crystals measuring up to 9 mm on white, bladed Albite crystals with golden Muscovite. This attractive and aesthetic piece hails from the famous Golconda Mine of Brazil and is a highly desirable old-timer from the 1970s. The piece comes from an old East Coast collection we picked up, and is accompanied by a Larry Conklin lable that has it valued at $750, and certainly more today. The quality and aesthetics of the Apatite, plus the stark contrast to the crystallized Albite blades is classic for this mine from an older era, but few are seen for sale nowadays. Great quality and really eye-catching.
