Item Description
A wonderful small cabinet sized piece from the famous 2007 find at the Sapo Mine featuring several sharp, lustrous, attractive Fluorapatite crystals nicely placed on a matrix of white bladed Albite, with associated Muscovite. The largest Fluorapatite measures 1.2 cm across. These crystals have hexagonal tabular form, and are translucent with a beautiful gentle forest green color. No major damage I can find anywhere, every crystal looks pristine to the naked eye. The Apatites show a decent yellow fluorescence under SW UV light. Very choice and aesthetic example from this famous discovery.
