Fluorapatite on Albite

Item Description

A lovely miniature sized specimen of this classic and notably distinctive material from the famous pocket in 2003. Several deep green colored, rather lustrous, thick tabular hexagonal crystals of Fluorapatite measuring up to 1.6 cm across, are sitting beautifully on white Albite matrix. When backlit, you can see the crystals have a slight colorless zone on the far exterior edges. If you collect Apatites, phosphate or Brazilian minerals. these are a must-have, since they truly do not resemble any other Apatites that I can think of from anywhere else. It appears that Sapo may never produce these attractive specimens of unusual Apatite again, so don't miss out.
