Item Description

A lovely cabinet sized piece from the famous 2007 find at the Sapo Mine features sharp, lustrous, attractive Fluorapatite crystals nicely placed on a matrix of lustrous white bladed Albite. The Fluorapatites are nicely isolated and measure up to 1.5 cm across. These crystals have hexagonal tabular form, and are translucent with a beautiful forest green color. The largest Apatite is unfortunately contacted, but the rest all seem to be in great shape to the naked eye. Both species on the piece also have excellent fluorescence. Very choice and aesthetic example from this famous discovery. From the collection of retiring French mineral dealer, Michel Jactat.
