Fluorapatite (intersting habit and color)

Item Description

Here we have a really cool miniature specimen of light yellowish colored Apatite from the famous Sapo mine from a few years ago. These crystals have a unique appearance with attractive prismatic form, but still showing very sharp, highly lustrous faces with nice translucency. For the most part, I don't see any damage on the display side outside of a tiny nick on the "stem" at the base where it was removed from the pocket wall. HARD TO PHOTOGRAPH, best seen in person. If you collect Apatites, phosphate or Brazilian minerals. don't miss out on this interesting and eye-catching Apatite that truly doesn't look like an Apiate I've seen from any other locality. It appears that Sapo may never produce these attractive specimens of unusual Apatite again.
