Item Description

Although Apatite / Fluorapatie is not reported from Zagi Mt., this piece comes from the inventory of Herb Obodda, whom we know acquired it directly in Pakistan, so it's legit. The specimen features a multiple crystals in semi-staggered growth, all of which have highly lustrous faces on the front / display side of the specimen, and a completely matte luster on the reverse side. The crystals are fairly large, stout, thick and notably gemmy for their size. I would describe the internal color as a silvery-yellow hue, but it also could be influenced by the dozens of prismatic crystals of Riebeckite included inside. It's a noteworthy piece, and really stands out against other Pakistani Apatites that I've seen over the years. It even stands on its own without a base or clasy. It's nearly a "floater" as it's crystallized all the way around, with only one contact on the bottom. HARD TO PHOTOGRAPH, but BETTER IN PERSON. Valued at $1500 for the sheer size of the Apatites.
