Item Description

Here we have a really cool small cabinet specimen of colorless to soft green colored Apatites from the famous Sapo mine from a few years ago. These crystals have a unique appearance with compressed prismatic form, but still showing very sharp, highly lustrous faces with nice translucency. The best way to describe the form of the piece is that has a pseudo-"Faden" growth. Interestingly enough, the piece has hollow cavity at the base, that it actually slightly open at the top, so you can blow through it like a whistle. For the most part, I don't see any damage on the display side. HARD TO PHOTOGRAPH, best seen in person. If you collect Apatites, phosphate or Brazilian minerals. don't miss out on this interesting and eye-catching Apatite that truly doesn't look like an Apiate I've seen from any other locality. It appears that Sapo may never produce these attractive specimens of unusual Apatite again.
