Item Description
A 1.6 x 1.6 cm fluorapatite is aesthetically set in matrix on this showy and excellent miniature from this famed locale. The highly lustrous, glassy, hexagonal crystal has a translucent, pretty light lavender lower section and a gemmy, near-colorless, 3 mm, termation area. The crystal is nicely framed by the siderite rhombs and most of the matrix is arsenopyrite. Interestingly, only the 3 mm gemmy termination area fluoresces, a ghostly white. A bit of termination edge wear is noted, but is certainly only a modest detraction to this classic and aesthetic combination from the Art Soregaroli Collection.
