Item Description
Over the last 30 years or so, Pakistan has produced a good range of Fluorapatite from several localities. I truly believe that I have virtually every color of Apatite from Pakistan, including arguably the finest pink crystals in the world. Here we have a wonderful small cabinet sized specimen from Pakistan featuring a fine, sharp, pink, prismatic, hexagonal, crystal with an additional smaller Fluorapatite aesthetically sitting on a white blocky Microcline crystal with very smooth lustrous faces on the front, but noteworthy etching on the back. The largest Apatite crystal measures 2.0 cm long, and it's actually doubly-terminated, though one end is not 100% complete. Accenting groups of golden Muscovite are scattered all over the piece for a nice touch. The piece displays nicely, and is in great shape overall. A classic pink Apatite from Pakistan. As you can see the piece glows a brilliant yellow under SW UV light.
