Fluorapatite (fluorescent!)

Here we have a highly aesthetic miniature sized specimen from Pakistan featuring a pair of sharp, pink, tabular, hexagonal crystals of Fluorapatite sitting atop white Albite matrix. The largest crystal measures 1.8 cm across. The piece displays beautifully as you can see from the photos, and it actually sits on its own without the aid of a base or clay. A classic pink Apatite from Pakistan, and just about as aesthetic as it gets. As you can see the piece glows a brilliant yellow under SW UV light.
