Item Description
The Pulsifer Quarry is known for its world-class Fluorapatite specimens with arguably the finest purple color in the world. This piece features many small, pale lilac / lavender color tabular crystals measuring up to 6 mm sitting atop Albite matrix. The piece is not 100% pristine, as there are some small nicks here and there, but it's still a nice reference piece of this highly desirable Apatites from Pulsifer. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8737). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
