Item Description
A 6.0 cm fluorapatite crystal is jauntily set on matrix on this very fine and aesthetic specimen from Broken Hill. The pristine, terminated, whitish-gray hexagonal layered crystal is partially translucent and has fine waxy luster. Specimens of this quality are very uncommon from Broken Hill. A similar crystal is figured in the classic 1982 "Minerals of Broken Hill" book on p. 79. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
