Item Description

This large specimen hosts 5 glassy and gemmy, rich pink fluorapatite crystals to 2 cm across. They have an intense color and glassy luster to them. In addition, there is also a lustrous and translucent, light blue aquamarine measuring 1.75 cm across, embedded in the muscovite. The whole specimen weighs 4.6 pounds or 2.1 kilos. A dramatic and striking specimen, and a classic combination from this region. Seldom do you find so many of these famous pink apatites in one place on a piece. The specimen is trimmed to show nice horizons around the edges, with the msharp muscovite crystals hanging off. Valued by the collector at $3500. Ex Dr. Jim Gebel Collection.
