Item Description

This specimen of apatite has a vertical, gem-crystal style that you usually associate with tourmalines and aquamarines, and can hold its own in line with other such glamorous gem species. It is a single, translucent to transparent crystal that is perfect all around, and it has a rich blush-pink color. It is perhaps a faden, or in any case shows some extreme elongation along the long axis (C-axis), that gives it such a bizarre, but attractive, shape. A true rarity. Gene spent the last 40 years collecting such odd and interesting crystals of the major Pakistani and Afghani gem species. This single crystal is perfect all around, balanced, and unique in its display. Valued $2000-2500.
