A textbook, hexagonal apatite thumbnail from this famed Mexico iron mine. The sharply terminated crystal is very glassy, translucent with satin lustre faces and has the classic yellow-green color of Cerro de Mercado apatites. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine. Trival termination wilbers are barely noticeable and contacting on one side has no damage, per se. The crystal glows, when back lit. A showy, stout, highly representative thumbnail from this well-known locale.
