Item Description

Apatite is well known from the Fulford District in Colorado, but good specimens are not common, and especially difficult to get out of the state. For all the different mineral environments that exist in Colorado, it's no surprise that there is a pegmatite that produces attractive gemmy yellow Apatite crystals from time to time. This crystal is sharp, mostly translucent, with a well-formed termination and textbook hexagonal form. Complete al the way around. Very highly representative of this uncommon locale and small find. Originally labeled as being "Hydroxylapatite", but this is not correct.
