Item Description
A classic pair of the famous Slyudyanka Apatites. One of the crystals is a near "floater" doubly-terminated elongated hexagonal prism with good luster on every face. The second crystal is more of a stout / equant example with a thicker habit, but it's only a partial crystal, not nearly as complete as the first, though it does have better color. A nice thumbnail set of these beautiful specimens from Russia. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4160 & 4161). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
