Fluorapatite

Item Description

Rich blue highlights sparkle through this cornflower blue, well-formed Fluorapatite crystal from this geologically unusual locality in Brazil. These are usually more opaque and darker, however, this one is a miniature and allows more light through so it's more translucent and colorful. It is terminated on one end and partially so on the other. Numerous, lighter colored, fine internal fractures transect the crystal from top to bottom. The crystal has almost a waxy luster and the faces are well-developed. Rarely do we see these crystals available anymore.
