Fluor-uvite-Uvite Series (Tourmaline) with Florencite-(Ce) on Quartz

The famous Pompa pit in Brumado, Brazil is famous for producing some of the most iconic examples of what was formerly sold at Uvite Tourmaline, but now it is described as being part of the Fluor-uvite-Uvite series. They are very distinctive due to their highly compressed pyramidal shape, often showing very little prismatic faces. This eye-catching piece features a lustrous, sharp, gemmy, well-formed, golden-green colored trigonal crystal of Fluor-uvite / Uvite measuring 1.1 cm sitting atop a very gemmy, colorless, prismatic hexagonal Quartz crystal. If you look closely, there are several other tiny Fluor-uvite / Uvite crystals, some of which are actually included inside the Quartz crystal. Additionally there is a sprinkling of soft golden-tan colored crystals of Florencite-(Ce) on the piece as well, making this a very attractive and fine quality association specimen. Valued at $850.
