Item Description
The tourmaline group has many varietals, classified by both color and chemistry. This is a tourmaline species of the liddicoatite group, and shows a stout prism of a mix of green, peachy-pink, orange-red, and golden yellow within one single crystal for dramatic effect. Jeff Scovil photo, and published in Mineralogical Record, Refined Elegance: The Small Treasures of Mineralogy, November 2022. Alex obtained this in Munich direct from a source, in 2014, the year it was mined.
