Item Description
Fluellite is a rare aluminum fluoro hydroxy phosphate, and the best examples of the species known are those from the Willard Mine in Nevada. This piece features many very sharp, well-formed, rather lustrous, translucent, colorless orthorhombic crystals of Fluellite sitting on micro Quartz on host rock matrix. What makes this piece significant is that the crystals are SHARP and EUHEDRAL, not small, rounded or non-descript, like you can find from other world localities. The crystals on this specimen are not only superb quality, but they are eye-visible, they're not micros. If you collect rarities, you need to have a good Fluellite in your collection, and why not pick one up from the best locality for the species.
