Flos Ferri or stalactitic cave aragonite comes in amazing shapes and forms. The worm-like, snow-white forms on this striking large piece defied gravity, as they grew in all directions to fill the void between the caven walls. This dramatic specimen looks like a dense coral growth and is from a classic locale in Austria. Outstanding material with multiple display views. The Bob Trimingham Collection label (purchased in 1982) says Kazakhstan. MINDAT does not list the species for that country and it is highly unlikely to have been available from the USSR in 1982!
