Item Description

A classic, twinned staurolite crystal from a very obscure abandoned copper mine in Namibia. Sharply crystallized, this floater specimen has high luster and is chocolate brown. These are called fairy crosses. Very rare on the market. Ex Ed Bancroft Collection, and was undoubtably sold in Tsumeb which is why his old label places that as the locality (incorrectly - they didn't have MINDAT in the 1970s!).
