Item Description
Surprising form and striking iridescence on this outstanding floater nodule of pyrite crystals from this well-known limestone cement quarry outside of Dallas. The pretty highly variable iridescence and lustre add dramatic pizzazz to these intergrown bronzy-brassy cuboctahedrons. The impressive pristine compound crystal is 4.8 x 4.3 x 3.0 cm. Essentially pristine, with only trivial, barely noticeable bruising. Texas is known as mostly a mineral wasteland, but this is an exceptional example from the Rob Sielecki Collection.
