Item Description

Perovskite is an uncommon titanium oxide. This is a pristine, euhedral, matte-gray, orthorhombic, floater thumbnail crystal with moderate luster. A bit of attached matrix is noted. Uncommon in this form, as most crystals from this very well-known locale are pseudocubic crystals. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and purchased in 1978. Most likely an old-time, pre-Communist era specimen.
