Item Description

Dave Stoudt lived and worked in Poland for a number of years in the petroleum industry, and had the opportunity to obtain specimens from old and generally closed localities, in addition to some interesting contemporary things many of which did not reach the general market. This is a floater, slightly flattened, ball-like cluster of intergrown, translucent, honey-brown, gypsum spearpoints. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only a few very gently bruised crystals. It reminds me of Canadian Red River Floodway material. Very uncommon material. Strzegom is a granitic massif, but this is what he was told, when he bought this piece at the Warsaw Mineral Show in November, 2000. Ex Stoudt Collection.
