An impressive example of spessartine garnet from the 2007-2008 finds in Tanzania. NOW GONE - no more are being found! The razor sharp, gemmy and lustrous, transparent to translucent, floater textbook trapezohedron has pleasing mandarin-orange color and striking flashes of rich golden-yellow! 29 grams. A beautiful spessartine with some gem rough value, and a lot of geometric appeal, too. It GLOWS, when backlit!
