A classic textbook floater chrysoberyl crystal showing the famous alexandrite cyclic twinning. The sharply bladed, two-sided crystals have good luster, and clearly demonstrate the color change that alexandrite is famous for (green to purple/red depending on lighting). It is crystallized all around and mostly opaque, though slightly translucent in a few places. The bit of periphery wear at the base has very minimal impact to the quality. This is an outstanding and rare example of the species and uncommon locale. Valued at $900-1200
