Floater Chrysoberyl twin (ex. Senator Dr. Miguel Romero Coll.)

This very fine floater thumbnail crystal of chrysoberyl is a zoned "V" twin. It is 12 grams, nice and thick. It is very gemmy and of a classic olive-green hue. It is also an apparent floater with no visible points of attachment. Rare and lovely example of this classic, and one of the few non-Mexican pieces kept by Romero in his collection, apparently for "fun". It comes with custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $145 (for free). The correct locality is actually the old locale circa 1940's in Brazil (despite the label...well, they did not have MINDAT in those days!). A fine "spiker" with an excellent provenance. Valued at $1800-2000 (plus base, for free!)
