Item Description

Dal'negorsk, like Tsumeb, is famed for calcite quality and diversity and this is a very fine and pristine floater crystal. The sculptural, sharp, very glassy, gemmy/translucent is a flattened nailhead rhomb. The well-formed two-sided crystal is visually enhanced by the attached smaller rhombs and the beautifully striated prism faces. The backlighting highlights the glassiness and striated faces. A classic and excellent Dal'negorsk calcite valued at $300, with multiple display views.
