Item Description
Well-formed beryl crystals, such as this impressive, large floater, are rare and seldom available from the famous Palermo No. 1 Mine. The doubly terminated, textbook hexagonal, pastel yellow-green, crystal has fine luster and is moderately translucent. Complete all-around. A very modest bit of edgewear is noted, but is certainly a minimal detraction to this important rarity from this classic locale. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 3110, with a 1990 date. Value?? We believe fairly at $1000 or more.
